Brandy Mills, AMFT, APCC
You could say my background is in pharmaceuticals, since I spent a decade in that industry, but I think a more accurate description of my background is “eclectic.” I’ve also been a yoga instructor, substitute teacher, and volunteer, to name just a few. My role as a stay-at-home mom has been my most challenging role to date, but it has also given me immense opportunities for self-growth. I’m now a mom of 3 school aged kids, and I have found my real-life experience as a mom to be very valuable in my work with clients.
I was born and raised in southern Kentucky, but in 2017, my family moved across the country (over 2,000 miles!) from my hometown to the South Bay. This big move allowed me to enter into a graduate degree program and to obtain my Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University-Los Angeles. Through my education and training, I quickly found that I have a knack for seeing people that they can feel. I am naturally curious, and that curiosity allows me to help my clients look at things in ways that never occurred to them before. I have been described as warm, compassionate, open-minded, and relatable.
My life experiences, compounded with my training, education, and natural proclivity to help others has allowed me to bring lasting change to a wide variety of clients’ lives. I absolutely love helping adults, adolescents and couples to feel more peace and joy in life. I strongly believe that the connection with your therapist is what facilitates lasting change, and it is my passion and life’s work to connect with others in a meaningful way.
If you're feeling exhausted, stuck and yearning for more, you are not alone. I can help you feel lighter, less lonely, and more like the YOU that you desire to be because I am passionately committed to turning rough patches into springboards for real and lasting change.
