Services
Dr. Isetta currently treats children, adolescents and young adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, family turmoil and life transitional issues.
Dr. Isetta works from a psychoanalytic and cognitive behavioral approach, which combines awareness of the unconscious to look at repetitive patterns and coping strategies along with finding adaptive ways to alter negative thoughts, beliefs or behaviors.
Area of Specialties
Preschool/Toddler Age Children
One area of Dr. Isetta's specialty is behavioral problems in preschool and toddler age children. Children this age may be experiencing temper tantrums that are lasting longer than usual or causing difficulties in the home or school setting.
I use play therapy to help clients verbalize their feelings and act out those feelings they are unable to verbalize. Along with play therapy, I work closely with the parents to help develop tools to create a structured and consistent environment for the child.
AdolescentsOften times adolescents are struggling with finding themselves and navigating their own personal feelings with those of their parents. I provide a safe and comfortable environment for the teen but at the same time give the tools and guidance an adolescent needs when struggling with their problems.
Abuse and Neglect
I work with children, adolescents and young adults who have been physically or sexually abused or neglected. My work focuses on increasing self-esteem, working through trauma, and learning to heal from the abuse and or neglect.
